Australia - Military aircraft Australian owned orange identifying objects measuring two meters 5 nautical miles from Malaysia Airlines MH370 search zone in the Indian Ocean . Allegedly as part of MH370 , but unfortunately the identification is done , the orange -colored object is fishing gear . As reported by CNN on Monday ( 31/3/20140 , the Australian military official has identified four orange-colored object as fishing equipment . Statement was presented to the media on Sunday ( 30/3 ) . Whereas before Flight Lieutenant Russell Adams said that the object found was a promising start . However, from a detailed analysis it was found that the object is a fishing equipment , dashed hopes to find a plane that had been missing since March 8. " We have expanded the search area in the Indian Ocean in the limitation of information , " said Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said in a statement to the media . However , we have the best people muster in the search mission . We are confident this mystery will be solved, " he said . Currently the search area has been expanded to 254 thousand kilometers , a total of 10 aircraft and 11 ships have been searching since Sunday ( 30/3 ) . Previous search crews from various countries could find objects suspected aircraft debris . But once identified , these objects are jellyfish carcasses and garbage floating in the waters of the southern Indian Ocean .
